Use the Connection Setup dialog box to connect to a host.
Not every user needs to know how to establish a host connection. Your system administrator can set up your system so you're automatically connected each time you start Reflection.
To connect to a host with IBM 3270 Printer emulation:
- On the Connection menu, click Connection Setup to open the Connection Setup dialog box. This command is not available
if it is disabled in the profile associated with this session.
If you see no menus at all, try clicking
in the applet with your right mouse button; a shortcut menu will appear if
your system administrator has enabled this feature.
- Enter the name of the host to which you're connecting in the Host box. You can also enter a valid Internet address (such
as 100.01.02.03) or a name that a domain name server can resolve. If you are not connecting with the default port,
use the format
Host:Port
to specify an alternate port.
- Under Protocol, select TN3270E or TN3287 to connect to an IBM host.
- For TN3270E sessions, confirm that the Connection type is Connect.
- Enter a Host LU name.
- Click Connect to connect immediately, or click OK to close the dialog box.
If you click OK, you can connect later by clicking Connect.
After the Connection Setup dialog box closes, the status box will display when you are connected.
