If you're having trouble with your keyboard or with keyboard mapping, consult the following list:
Keys you press are not sending what you expect
- Check that you have selected the correct keyboard driver defined in the
Keyboard icon in Windows Control Panel.
- Map the key so that it behaves as you expect. For example, if you want the Ctrl key to function as the 3270 Host Enter key, use the Keyboard Setup dialog box to set that mapping. (Note that Java does not allow individual mapping of the right or left Ctrl key only; both Ctrl keys use the same mapping.)
Num Lock state
- The Num Lock key cannot be mapped to another function. The mapping will function, but it will still toggle the Num Lock state on and off. If you need to map a keystroke to this key, map it to Ctrl+Num Lock instead.
